studio HEKKEL is a Brighton based architectural design studio specialising in a comprehensive and personalised design process. We specialise in concept design and comprehensive planning for the residential and commercial projects. This includes small scale developments, such as extensions, to medium and large scale masterplanning, as well as interior design, including retail interior design.

ABOUT US
studio HEKKEL was founded in Brighton, UK, in 2019 by Sophie Frykfors von Hekkel. Sophie previously worked as an architectural designer for 8 years with one of Brighton's leading firms, whilst simultaneously working independently as a sole practitioner.
Having qualifications in both Interior Architecture (BAhons) and Architecture (Certificate Part 1 & Diploma Part 2) has enabled Sophie to work across both sectors; seeing projects through from early concept stages, planning and construction, through to final internal finishes and completion.
